TRAVELLING TO TRALEE
Ireland is ideally located on the edge of Europe. It is less than an hour from London, less than two hours from Paris or Brussels and just six hours from the east coast of the US by air.
Getting to and from Ireland has never been more accessible or more affordable. There are daily direct flights to Ireland from a wide range of cities in the UK, Europe, and the US, along with flights from the middle east by Emirates.
Kerry Airport is only a fifteen-minute drive from the main towns of Tralee and Killarney. With flights originating from the US or via Dubai, baggage can be checked through to Kerry. Ireland is served by two major, low-cost national airlines – Ryanair and Aer Lingus – as well as dozens of international carriers, and boasts international airports in Dublin, Knock, Shannon, and Belfast.
Kerry is situated on the Southwest Coast of Ireland and can be easily reached by air, train, bus or car or a combination of these. As a major tourist attraction, there are many well-developed transport options available. The national rail network, Irish Rail, services Tralee regularly throughout the day with various departure choices for Cork, Limerick, and Dublin available and trains running from early morning to approximately 7.00PM.
Kerry Airport
Kerry Airport is located only 15 minutes’ drive from the main towns of Tralee and Killarney and is serviced by twice-daily flights from Dublin and frequent flights from London and Germany.
Shannon Airport
Shannon Airport has flights to USA and Europe and is a ninety-minute drive from Tralee.
Cork Airport
Cork Airport has daily flights to Europe and is a ninety-minute drive from Tralee.
Dublin Airport
Irelands largest international airport with direct and frequent routes throughout Europe.
Visas & US Pre Clearance
Flights departing from Shannon & Dublin to the USA go through Immigration & Customs in IRELAND so delegates can avoid long queues when they arrive home. They will arrive at a domestic terminal.
